Today, we recognise and celebrate the vital contributions of all incredible women in many industries. All their work would not have been possible without the international movement for women’s rights that started in the United States in the 19th century.Did you know IT industry was shaped a lot by:- Ada Lovelace, the world first programmer from 19th century who wrote an algorithm for computing machine. Without her it's hard to imagine all software development.- Radia Perlman is known as the “Mother of the Internet” for her invention of the Spanning Tree Protocol, which helps prevent routing loops in network bridges.- Reshma Saujani established Girls Who Code, a non-profit organisation, to reduce the gender disparity in tech. Under Reshma's leadership, Girls Who Code has taught coding to over 300,000 girls so that they can become future tech leaders.Have you heard of these incredible women? I believe you have even more inspiring women around you!At Diversido, we strive to follow their examples by building a company culture that supports and promotes talented women in the field. 58% of our colleagues are women and most of top management positions are taken by women as well! We hope today serves as an inspiration and reminder of the great things women did, are doing and will do - in tech and in whole world.Happy International Women's Day! 🌸#InternationalWomensDay #WomenInTech #GenderEquality

At Code the Dream we celebrate Women’s History Month by celebrating women in tech — and there are so many to celebrate, from today’s innovators and executives to the women who helped pioneer the ideas that informed the tech that shapes our lives. One such pioneer was Ada Lovelace, whose many accomplishments include the development of ideas that led to the first modern computers. Her long working relationship with Charles Babbage and her translation and analysis of Italian engineer Luigi Menabrea’s work included some of the earliest ideas about computers as analytical tools rather than complex calculators, and one of the first computer programs. To learn more about how Code the Dream is working to correct gender inequity in tech, visit codethedream.org. #WomenInTech #WomensHistoryMonth #TechPioneers #GenderEquity #CodeTheDream #TechInclusion #DiversityInTech
