TOYOTA COROLLA TWIN CAM AE86 LSD UK CAR (2024)

For sale is a 1986 UK supplied Toyota Corolla twin cam AE86 finished in factory Onyx black ( paint code 202) . 88. 00 original miles2 private owners . both from the Winchester . Original Toyota supplying dealer rear number plate and rear window sticker and tax disc holder . Supplied new by Ropley Toyota main agent nr Winchester . I was lucky enough to stumble across this very solid AE86 approx a year ago . it had been stored in a dry barn near Winchester since 2001 when it was last used . I purchased this car with the intention of modifying it . but after getting the car home and inspecting it further I then realised it was totally standard with a genuine 88. 00 miles with its original service book . hand books . salesbrochures. nearly all old MOT's and a very solid car with very little rust . so I waspersuaded it would be better left unmodified . so here it is today . avirtually standard AE86. I inspected the carthoroughly in side and out for corrosion by removing the bumpers . arch liners. sill covers . carpets . oof lining etc etc . only small amounts of corrosion were found . 2 small areas at rear of sills ( size of a fa*g packet) 2 small areas in the rear of the boot floor and very slight corrosion on the inner skins of the rear side valances behind the rear bumper . I don. like rust so I hadall the bad metal cut out professionally and new metal added to make the car 100% rust free . The front wings also had the normal rusty arches so again I had the original wings repaired ( the wings were not removed from the car} . all rust cut away and new metal added . all these areas were then rust treated . sealed . painted . wax oiled /oiled to prevent any further corrosion. The car was then treated to a repaint in its factory Onyx black . I had the bonnet . both sides and the roof and side skirts painted and as You can see from the pictures it now looks stunning . I didnt have the tail gate and rear panel painted as it was near perfect condition and I didnt want to loose theoriginal tailgate Twin cam / Corollastickers the paint matched perfectly so dosnt notice. I then refitted all parts carefully cleaning each part before refitting ( this car has 98% of all its original fixings ( nuts . bolts . washers . trim clips etc )I also removed the fuel tank to inspect for rust . it was in excellent order so fully painted and refitted . The car has been injected with a mix of WD40 /clean engine in every orifice to prevent any corrosionoccurring in the future . the under side was also treated and under the arches. inner wings etc and wax oiled lightly in certain areas. I really went to town on the oil injection as I intended to keep AE86 for a long time . The car was then fully cleaned top and bottom and detailed to give itsoriginal factory look . I have replaced all the brake discs and pads ( fitted genuine front Toyota NOS brake pads which came with the car . purchased in 2001) removed all calipers stripped. cleaned sliders . pistons and freed off all bleed nipples and replaced brake fluid. Parts replaced with new parts: water pump. thermostat . spark plugs. fuel filter. alternator belt . engine oil and filter . coolant . rear exhaust silencer ( free flow silencer) . ew sunroof panel. rear tyres ( Firestone) . The interior is stunning and only looks a year or so old . All electrics work : warning lights . map reading lamps . door open indicator etc including the sunroof . when the sunroof is open all the runners . tainless steel wind deflector still look as fresh as new . The car is Notconcourse but is nearimmaculateand would certainly be one of the cleanest ( if not the cleanest ) original unmodified UK AE86'sat any show . This lovely example runs and drives without fault . feels as tight to drive as when it left the showroom . The engine bay is outstanding and still wears its original stickers . No oil leaks from engine / gearbox or diff . The rear axle still has it LSD oil only sticker . It has all its original brake pipes which are in excellent condition . alloy wheels areoriginaland in great condition still with the factory paint. The only 2 mods the car has are : free flow sports rear exhaust silencer and drilled and grooved front brake discs. I have done approx 300 miles in this amazing little car and it gives Me the confidence I could drive it anywhere in the world . the engine pull strong and the exhaust note sounds fantastic :). Being picky : a few light scuffs on the bumpers . a few minor car park dings on the N/S ( shallow marble dents that havnt marked the paint ) one very small chip in the headlamp . just being totally honest . This car has all its original panels except the sunroof panel . This car really does look like a 3-4 year old loved Toyota AE86 . very hard to find in this condition. The last owner has applied for a replacement Log book V5 which should be arriving from DVLA soon . I have a copy of the old log book .
