This year’s Hiswa te Water Boat Show will again be held at Lelystad’s Bataviahaven from 28 August to 1 September. The show is bigger and has the largest number of ‘firsts’ ever. With the finest and latest yachts between 6 and 24 metres alongside countless accessories, it is the place for water sports enthusiasts to view, engage and enjoy.

Making International Waves!
The Hiswa te Water is leading the way in north-western Europe because of its offering of more than 400 new yachts from the Netherlands, Europe, Asia, the United States and even Australia. The Hiswa te Water is a Show that matters internationally and where everyone loves to exhibit and be seen. Last March, the fair organisers reported that almost all available places in the port were sold out. Due to the high level of interest, a large number of different boats are coming. Boat Show director, Arjen Rahusen says: “On the internet, the offer is fragmented, but in the Bataviahaven everything is conveniently together. We show a great diversity of boats, not just sloops and RIBs that can look hugely similar on a screen. The Hiswa te Water offers a wide range, so there is a lot for visitors to compare.”

Complete Visitor Experience:
There is more to see at the fair than just beautiful boats! For visitors, it is nice that the Bataviahaven will feature a new, classy restaurant with fine wines and a VIP waterside terrace. The offer on the quay is also extensive, but only with products that are water sports – related. There are service and information stands, but also a lot of interest and information for DIY boat tasks, fun products and spectacle on and around the water. Rahusen: “At the Hiswa te Water, you will find a complete experience for all water sports enthusiasts. ”

Special Firsts!
This year, visitors will be handed a free, colourful Hiswa te Water Magazine at the entrance in Lelystad. This magazine can also be downloaded prior to the fair. It contains the exhibition floor plan and all other important exhibition information, as well as boat tests and lots of information about special scoops and trends. Many special yachts have again been entered for the Hiswa te Water. A small selection: In the huge range of sailing yachts, the Arcona 50 and the Shogun 43 immediately catch the eye; fast, comfortable yachts for the pampered sailor! Both yachts have already won several international awards. Dutch yacht builders also have a lot of news. Saffier is expected to come up with a first, as will Frisian Breehorn. KM Yachting is back in Lelystad with two sturdy Bestevaers.

Motor yachts
Among motor yachts, the choice is even greater if possible. In the top segment, notable Dutch entries include the Stratos DB 50 from Lengers Yachts, the Mulder Favorite 1700, the Holterman X65, the Steeler Ocean Explorer 22, the Van der Heijden Phantom Flybridge 70, Boarncruiser Center Sleeper and the Vanquish VQ 58. This Dutch brand, especially popular in America, is at the fair in Lelystad for the first time. From Italy comes the beautiful Lilybaeum Levanzo 31 and the equally beautiful Solaris Power Lobster 48. There are also firsts from French Prestige, British Princess and the striking Australian Riviera Sports Yacht 4600 Platinum. This brand is also represented in Lelystad for the first time. And of course, there will again be many fast, luxurious and beautiful RIBs to admire.

Sloops, Tenders and Outboard Motors
Truly Dutch boat types are the sloops and tenders. In that segment, the choice is overwhelming. The largest of its kind is the Gulliver 1300. A stunning aluminium model is the 10-metre Zilverman tender. Enkhuizen Sloops bring the new 922 cabin and AluShip takes no less than three firsts, the S-tender, the 720 cabin tender and the Tyfoon. In the electric segment, the Qrafter eQruiser 680 plus and the Italian Transfluid sloop should not be forgotten. The largest stands are traditionally for the outboard engine brands. Dealers of Mercury, Yamaha, Honda and Suzuki will display their boats on the jetties of their favourite outboard engine brands. We could name many more special brands and firsts, but there are great new firsts coming up all the time. For that, follow the social media and check www.Hiswatewater.nl/en regularly for all the latest news.

Festivities around the Show
An important part of the fair is the Boat of the Year election. This year, there were more nominations for this award than ever. This year, a public seat was also established in each jury (of sailing yachts, motorboats and of sloops & tenders). Within a day, almost 200 applications were received by the Organisation for this purpose. The nominees and winners of the Boat of the Year award will be announced on 27 August, on the evening before the opening. Furthermore, there is a party to celebrate every day during the Hiswa te water. KNRM, which is celebrating its 200th anniversary this year, will again welcome many guests and rescue crew members ashore at it’s own jetty. Companies such as Linssen (75 years), Boarnstream (60 years), X-Yachts Benelux (40 years) Jonkers Yachts (25 years) will celebrate reaching special milestones at the fair. The atmospheric location with excellent catering facilities lends itself perfectly to this. For water sports enthusiasts, Lelystad is the place to look, learn, choose and enjoy this summer.
