from the University of Michigan, and attended Atlanta University and the University of Tennessee. She had worked in the Davidson County school system for 18 years as a librarian and teacher. She was married to the late G. Lawson Hogue for 17 years. Mrs.

Hogue was active in church work at Westwood Baptist Church and was superintendent of the Sunday. School Board and a member of the Usher Board. She was a member of the National Vocational Guidance Association, the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People, the Tennessee Education Congress and the American Personnel and Guidance Association. She was woman of Girl Scout Troop 227, and a member of the National Phi Delta Kappa Sorority, Alpha Beta Chapter. Survivors are her mother; a sister, Mrs.
