What are the best Side Missions in the game including Phantom Liberty? - r/LowSodiumCyberpunk (2024)

I think the best ones are "Dream On" with the Peralezes, "Run this Town" with Mr. Hands and additionally i found "Balls on the wall" with Paco also a very fun side mission.

I know a lot of people like "Sinnerman" as well, and i don't dislike it, it just had me less invested than these other three I mentioned.

The one with the sports academy in Dogtown is great.

Agreed, I shot that bitch IMMEDIATELY (the woman, not the kid lol)

You upload the data to Hands for the bonus then you waste everyone.

u/DakInBlak5h ago

Do that with every stealth mission. The game doesn't keep you out of a lot of places you've already been in.

u/ThisAllHurts5h ago

It does in the Kiddie Athlete Slave Farm. So you have to kill time for a minute or two… then blast everyone

I'm a little more efficient. I do stealth the Deus Ex way, where I do stealth takedowns of everyone in the building, then go around looting and checking terminals to my heart's content, THEN move on to tackle the quest objective.

I let her talk, hoping that MAYBE there was some backwards redeeming quality. But as soon as she said something about them being better off this way it was a bullet to the brain for her.

Most of the PL gig and side missions are top shelf. The gigs especially are strong.

Run This Town in particular is a great coda to PL and your relationship with Hands.

We need Aguilar and Hands back for sure in the sequel.

Keystone Cops from Phantom Liberty was a great reprieve from a string of heavier narratives - in doing it nonlethally it, ended with V and the bad guys cracking up at the situation and everyone just walking away peacefully.

u/Burned-Architect-667Netrunner5h ago

When I do that way the cops always hit and run with their car the "bad" guys and I end killing the one sin the garage.

u/Evelynn_cretoxyrhinaNomad4h ago

I had the exact same thing, pretty sure it’s a bug and they’re not actually meant to agro on you. However it’s the better outcome anyways, since if dodger lives, both cops will be extorted for a long time and won’t open the food stand. So, don’t feel too bad i suppose

u/Kadda2144h ago

I didn't know they open a food stand, that's so funny! This quest just keeps on giving. The Phantom Liberty side quest really were top notch.

u/dennisfyfe4h ago

Ya it’s just the one dude. He has a hotdog stand and even tries to pay you for your help. You can refuse and he’ll be grateful for it. His partner stayed as an officer.

u/Kadda2144h ago

In hindsight I have no idea what I did to get a peaceful resolution, I remember that I had my V just tell the truth - that the cops were idiots and she didn't know what the f*ck was going on - and they all burst out laughing and the bad guys said something along the lines of "eh you didn't kill anyone" before letting us go, so I assumed that was the trigger. It's even more hilarious now knowing those two can mess up that part as well.

u/Burned-Architect-667Netrunner4h ago

Yes I get all of this then the two idiots take the car and with the wonderful driving AI that game have just leave hiiting one of the guys and leaving V to make the cleaning of their mess. It could have been scripted with that pair.

That mission was almost like a Coen Brothers movie. Dark humor, f*ckups, over the top moments of violence.

u/AllenWL4h ago

I should really try doing that peacefully, but I suck at stealth so I kinda just end up murdering everyone (sans cops) and grabbing the nifty revolver on the way out.

Which one is that? I've not learnt the PL quests yet.

The Rina Molina one was fun too, especially if you let him stay as he is. They send photos from all over the place.

"Balls to the Wall" is a treat. Getting high to show you exactly what happened instead of telling you is a brilliant idea. And Paco always gets a ride out of Dogsh*t if I can help it.

u/Anxious_Chapter_74284h ago

I 100% agree with you on the Peralez mission. Holy sh*t it made me question my whole existence

u/vinceftw3h ago

Damn. I lost the van with my slow ass car and kept it at that as I like to roleplay like things cannot always go right. Looking forward to doing it again on a second playthrough.

u/Ged_UKTeam Judy5h ago

Dream On, Sinnerman, The Hunt, A Raymond Chandler Evening.

The one where you klep a car with the guy constantly texting you was funny

u/KardTrick14m ago

Where you have to get that car out of Dogtown stadium garage?

If you raise the alarm during that mission they get really pissed at you and max out your alarm level once you drive out. That was hilarious.

u/LordFluffy3h ago

The one where you sneak through a hotel to kill a Mengala style "researcher" who experimented on Nomads.

u/bluecheeseisweird2h ago

as soon as i realised who i was going for (i'm assuming this is koch you're on about) and recognising her name from the shards i've previously picked up, you best believe i went full john wick mode and blasted her when she tried to raise the alarm

u/Abyss_Renzo3h ago

Pyramid Song

If we’re talking side quests and not gigsRun this town, all of the romance questlines, and the heart transplant for the caldosIf we are including gigsSports academy, the one with the special eye in dog town, blowing up the glitter facility

u/Vergil_1712h ago

Cyberpunk probably has the best side missions I’ve ever played, yes even better than the Witcher 3. There’s so many that come to mind but the best for me has to be Heroes.

u/zandadoum2h ago

Jotaros gig is always a favourite of mine. Can do it a million different ways and at any point early or late game.

As for missions, I can’t really say as the line between side quests and gigs get a bit blurry sometimes
